This film is our take on how the Nothing Phone 3A Pro could be introduced to the world. Inspired by Nothing’s bold visual identity, raw materiality, and modular aesthetics, we built a fictional product launch video that explores the soul of the device — inside and out.

Not a commercial. Not a commission. Just a love letter to a brand we admire.

The film begins with mystery. We deliberately hold back the full reveal of the product, teasing the phone’s presence through its signature circular flash patterns, material textures, and fragments of modular elements. Our goal was to build tension through design language alone.

Beyond the product shots, we built entire 3D environments inspired by Nothing’s design language. Using modular elements from the phone, we created architectural forms and structures that feel like natural extensions of the device itself.

Everything was assembled through procedural systems in Houdini and Blender, allowing us to generate complex structures from a shared kit of parts.

We shifted into a rougher, noisier world as well, inspired by Nothing's fearless branding and design. We layered bold typography in the Nothing font with gritty textures built from micro circular patterns — a nod to the brand’s identity and hardware details. These textures, animated with slight chaos, added a lo-fi, analog energy that contrasts the pristine CG shots.

The Nothing Phone is iconic for its visible "internal" components. We wanted to emphasize these elements, not just as functional parts but as visual building blocks. Throughout the film, we created distinct compositions and animations that isolate and celebrate these components as design objects in their own right.

An interesting twist in the process was that we originally began creating this campaign for the Nothing Phone (2). But a week into production, Nothing unexpectedly released the new model. At first, we were a bit shocked — this meant waiting for the 3D model to appear on asset platforms, which could delay everything.

Instead, we made a decision: model it ourselves.

We built the entire phone from scratch using a combination of modeлling techniques — traditional hard-surface modeling, spline modeling, procedural distribution systems, and extensive VDB workflows.

Many of the Nothing Phone’s internal components feature distinctive curved lines that echo circuit board patterns — we recreated these using spline modeling. This approach gave us precision where needed and allowed for procedural flexibility elsewhere.

The hybrid workflow gave us full control over geometry and mesh density, enabling ultra-detailed assets for close-up shots and optimized versions for larger scenes. That flexibility became a core strength of the project, ensuring visual consistency and production efficiency across every sequence.
